ADHD vs ADD

Attention-deficit disorder (ADD) and ADHD describe the same condition, although for a time they were classified separately. The term ADD is no longer in general use by medical professionals, and the diagnostic criteria for ADHD in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual were revised in 2013 to include three subtypes of the condition where previously only two were included. Predominantly inattentive presentation of the condition generally describes what was once thought of as ADD.
